This is a picture of my mum and is how I often see her now in my dreams.

For those who've read the book you may recall that she passed in June 2001 at 82. It recently occurred to me how she's changed since her transition and I thought you'd be interested to hear my thoughts.

When she first crossed she seemed a little confused and some of her earlier communications with me were not the nicest! (Though some were lovely.) Now, however, with the passage of fourteen and a half years I've noticed how settled she's become and much more confident of her abilities regarding communication with us on this side. When I see her in my dreams she's much more likely to show herself looking young as above, rather than mostly looking as she did towards the end of her life. She's always very loving towards me now and, judging by the things she's said through mediums, has been able to see the bigger picture of what I was going through when she was still here and what she was unaware of then. She likes to give me advice and tells me she'll help me with things, and also has become extremely protective of me since her passing. I have no doubt that she and our passed-over loved ones can indeed help us from their side, amazing as it sounds. They certainly know what's going on with us.

Over recent years she's shown how she can occupy a whole private session with a medium - chatting all the time (she loved to talk!) - but more recently she's become much more evident in public mediumship demonstrations too. It used to be Dad who always came through at them, often the first to communicate, and though he still does she's just as confident as he is, if not more so now, and I think could probably monopolise the whole time if allowed! I think it's lovely to know that we acclimatise to life over there and become more settled and confident with time, and it certainly seems we can enjoy ourselves!
